Use Limitation

  • This harness is designed for regular walks and general activities.
  • Not suitable for extreme activities like pulling, towing, or rigorous training.
  • Avoid using this harness for pets with medical conditions requiring specialized equipment.

Wear and Tear

  • General wear and tear are normal over time. Regularly inspect the harness for damage, such as fraying straps or weakened hardware.
  • Replace the harness immediately if you notice signs of damage to ensure your pet's safety.

Safety-Specific Disclaimers

Pull Strength Ratings

  • The pull strength ratings provided apply to controlled use under normal conditions. Excessive or sudden force beyond rated limits may cause damage to the harness.

Control Handle Usage

  • The back handle is designed for brief restraint or guidance only. Avoid using it to lift or carry your pet.

D-Ring Use

  • Use the D-rings for their intended purpose, such as attaching a leash. Overloading them with multiple accessories may compromise their functionality.

Material Care

  • Vegan leather components require gentle care to maintain their durability.
  • Avoid prolonged exposure to water, heat, or abrasive surfaces, which may damage the material.

Not Escape-Proof

  • While this harness is designed for a secure fit, it is not guaranteed to be escape-proof, particularly if improperly adjusted or fitted.

Shipping Cost

  • A flat rate of $4.80 applies to all local orders, delivered via a reliable local courier service.
  • Free shipping above $200

Delivery Time

  • Once shipped, deliveries typically take 1 to 3 business days to reach your doorstep once it has been picked up.

Processing Time

  • Orders are processed within 4 to 6 business days before being packed and mailed out.
  • If your order includes an artisan pet tag, processing may take up to 8 to 10 business days, as each tag is custom-made with care.

Order Tracking

  • You will receive a tracking number via email once your order has been shipped, allowing you to monitor its journey.

Combined Orders

  • Orders containing multiple items, including artisan pet tags, will be shipped together. The shipping timeline will align with the longest processing time in your order.

Delivery Address

  • Please ensure your shipping address is accurate and complete. Isla & Fern cannot be held responsible for delays or missed deliveries due to incorrect or incomplete addresses.

Delivery Attempts

  • The courier will typically make one or two delivery attempts. If unsuccessful, you may be required to coordinate with the courier for re-delivery or collection.

Damaged or Missing Packages

  • If your package arrives damaged or does not arrive within the estimated timeframe, please contact the courier directly with your tracking information to resolve the issue.

International Shipping

International Shipping Rates

All parcels will be posted via our national courier, SingPost, using their Registered Package (International) service.

Zone 1 (Malaysia):

  • Up to 500g: $9.30 SGD
  • Above 500g (up to 1kg): $13.70 SGD
  • Above 1kg (up to 2kg): $23.60 SGD
  • Estimated delivery time: 5 to 10 business days

Zone 3 (16 countries: Australia, Belgium, Canada, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, and United States.)

  • Up to 500g: $21.10 SGD
  • Above 500g (up to 1kg): $35.10 SGD
  • Above 1kg (up to 2kg): $66.60SGD
  • Estimated delivery time: 10 - 24 business days

Additional Information

Weight Categories: If your parcel exceeds the weight category (500g, 1kg, or 2kg), it will fall into the next weight category, and rates will be adjusted accordingly.

Delays and Missing Packages:

  • If your package is delayed or lost, please check with your local post office using the tracking information provided.
  • Additionally, contact us at islaandfern.co@gmail.com or DM us on Instagram so we can assist in writing to SingPost on your behalf.

Lost Packages:

  • In the event of a lost package, we will assist in filing a claim with SingPost.
  • SingPost’s compensation for lost parcels is capped at $68 SGD. If your package’s value exceeds this amount, Isla & Fern cannot be held responsible for the additional loss.

Customs Duties and Taxes: Isla & Fern is not responsible for any customs duties, taxes, or fees imposed by the destination country. These charges are the customer’s responsibility.

Weight Approximation Guide

To help estimate shipping weights, here are approximate references:

  • Up to 500g: Includes 1 Verso leash (1.5cm or 2cm width) + 1 Myra pouch.
  • Above 500g (up to 1kg): Includes 1 Sorella harness + 1 Verso leash + 1 Myra pouch.

Material & Care

What materials are used in the harness?

Our harnesses are crafted with premium-quality vegan leather for a luxurious yet animal-friendly finish, paired with carefully selected fabrics that combine durability and style. The lining and the back of the Y-section, where the harness touches your dog, are designed with scratch-resistant material to withstand abrasions and maintain their sleek appearance over time. The hardware on our items is made from zinc alloy with plating, a material commonly used in pet accessories. It is resistant to rust under normal conditions, but prolonged exposure to moisture or heavy use over time may affect its appearance.

How do I care for my harness?

To keep your harness looking its best:

  1. Cleaning: Spot clean only using a damp cloth to remove dirt or stains. Do not machine wash or soak the harness in water, as this may damage the materials.
  2. Drying: Allow the harness to air dry completely before storing or using. Avoid direct heat or tumble dryers.
  3. Hardware Maintenance: To maintain the hardware's condition, avoid excessive moisture and wipe it clean after outdoor activities.
  4. Scratch Resistance: While the lining is engineered to resist abrasions, regular cleaning and proper storage will help maintain its pristine appearance.
  5. Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent fading or cracking of materials.

Exchange Policy

For Local Orders

We understand that finding the perfect fit for your pup is important. To ensure a smooth exchange process, please follow these guidelines:

*Please note that exchanges or returns are not permitted for Artisan pet tags.

Important Notes on Exchanges

  • Subject to Availability: Exchanges are subject to the availability of sizes. If the requested size is sold out, we regret that we will not be able to process an exchange. In such cases, we will issue a refund via store credit, valid for 6 months from the date of issue.
  • Cost Adjustments and Shipping: Once the exchange has been approved, any difference in cost for the harness and a one-time shipping fee of $3 will be incurred. Kindly note that the payment for the exchange must be completed prior to processing the exchange.

Exchange Timeframe

  • Customers have 14 days from the date of delivery to initiate an exchange. Requests made after this period will not be accepted.
  • Please email, DM us (Instagram DM for a faster response) or use the chat function if you need to make an exchange.

Try Before Removing Tags:

  • Please ensure the product fits your pet correctly before removing any tags. Once the tags are removed, we regret that exchanges for size will no longer be accepted.

Conditions for Exchange:

  • The item must be returned in its original pristine condition, unused, and free of any damage.
  • Please include the original velvet pouch with the returned item.

Shipping for Exchange:

  • Customers are responsible for shipping the item back to us via registered mail (eg. Smartpac), ensuring it is securely packaged to prevent damage in transit.
  • The returned item must be in its original pristine condition, unused, and free of any damage. If the item does not meet these conditions, and we are unable to exchange it with another customer or resell it, we may:
  1. Deny a refund entirely, or
  2. Issue a partial refund at our discretion, depending on the extent of the damage or wear.
  • Refunds via Store Credits: Refunds for exchanges that cannot be processed (e.g., due to unavailability of sizes) will be issued in the form of store credits, valid for 6 months from the date of issue.
  • We are only able to process the exchange once we have received the item and the conditions are met.

Replacement Shipping Fee:

  • A flat fee of $3 will apply for shipping the replacement item. This fee will be communicated to you once the exchange is approved.

Processing Time:

  • Exchanges will only be processed once we have received and inspected the returned product. Please allow 5 to 7 business days for the exchange to be completed and be shipped.

For Overseas Orders

Due to logistical challenges, we regret that size exchanges for international orders are not available at this time. We recommend referring to our detailed size guide before making your purchase to ensure the best fit for your pet. If you have any questions about sizing, please feel free to contact us—we’re happy to assist!

Limitation of Liability

Isla & Fern shall not be held liable for any injuries, damages, or losses arising from the improper use, fitting, or maintenance of its products. By purchasing and using our products, you acknowledge that it is your responsibility to ensure the safety and well-being of your pet through proper use and supervision.

Agreement to Policies

By purchasing our products, you acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined in our Safety Policies, Exchange Policies & Shipping Policies and any other applicable guidelines stated on this website. It is your responsibility to review these policies prior to making a purchase to ensure a smooth and informed shopping experience.
